Our Sitting Service is designed to provide temporary, reliable, and compassionate supervision for your loved one in the comfort of their own home—giving you the freedom and flexibility to manage other areas of your life, while knowing they are in safe hands.

What Is a Sitting Service?

Sitting services are short-duration care arrangements where a trained GN Wellsprings carer stays with your loved one for an agreed period of time. The aim is to ensure safety, companionship, and emotional reassurance during your absence—whether you’re stepping out for an hour or an entire day.

We know that every family’s needs are different, which is why we offer flexible sitting arrangements, starting from a minimum of one hour and extending to several hours, depending on your personal schedule.

Ideal For:

• Carers or family members who need to attend appointments, work shifts, or run errands

• Short breaks to rest, recharge, or socialise

• Support during school runs, evening events, or weekends

• Providing routine and emotional continuity when family caregivers are unavailable

• Offering companionship to reduce isolation and anxiety for your loved one

What Our Carers Do During Sitting Support:

• Offer companionship and friendly conversation

• Engage your loved one in hobbies or light activities

• Assist with light meals and refreshments if needed

• Prompt or supervise medication where appropriate

• Provide reassurance, comfort, and supervision to ensure their safety and wellbeing
