Our Management Team

Clare Wanjohi

Registered Manager & Company Director

I have always been drawn to caring for people. My journey began as a schoolteacher, where I spent over 15 years in both mainstream and special schools before moving into the social care sector and joining GN Wellsprings Care Services in 2014.

Since then, I have had the privilege of leading a compassionate, genuinely caring and dedicated team at GN Wellsprings. In domiciliary care, we meet remarkable people every day, and it is an honour to walk alongside them, supporting them to achieve their goals. Through our supported living services, we help individuals connect with their communities, build friendships, enjoy hobbies, and live meaningful, independent lives. It is incredibly rewarding to see what people can accomplish when given the right support to follow their dreams.

We work closely with our local community mental health management team to support our clients. Through this partnership, our staff have developed specialist skills to assist people after periods of hospitalisation, enabling them to reconnect with the community and live life on their own terms.

At the heart of GN Wellsprings is my vision of a service where both staff and the people we support feel like part of a family — where everyone matters and everyone is treated with compassion. For us, care goes beyond duty; it is about valuing people for who they are.

Angela Whitesand

Care Team Supervisor

I have worked in social care for over 24 years, and for the past 5 years I’ve been proud to be part of GN Wellsprings Care Services. I started here as a carer and have grown into the role of supervisor. It has been a rewarding journey, developing alongside a team that provides excellent care.

What matters most to me is delivering person-centred support that helps people feel valued, respected, and safe, while encouraging independence. I feel honoured that clients trust me and appreciate the care I provide. Building relationships, resolving challenges calmly, and seeing people thrive makes my work fulfilling.

I believe in working closely with management and colleagues to ensure every client receives the best support. For me, professionalism is knowing when to lead and when to seek guidance — always putting people first.

Being part of GN Wellsprings feels like being part of a family, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep growing and making a difference every day. Outside work, I enjoy reading, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

Steve

Service Director

After a decade of service in the armed forces, I joined the care sector in 2011, starting as a support worker. This role allowed me to gain extensive experience with supported living and mental health clients, before advancing my skills through leadership and management training.

Since 2014, I have been part of GN Wellsprings’ leadership team, specialising in training and supporting colleagues to work effectively with people who have complex behaviour support needs. My army background informs my approach, helping me lead initiatives with focus, discipline, and a commitment to excellence in care delivery.

As Service Director, I provide a “critical friend” perspective on audits, performance reports, and feedback, ensuring GN Wellsprings meets both its care and business objectives. I also play an active role in fostering strong relationships with community stakeholders.

Outside work, I am passionate about fishing and enjoying the outdoors whenever I can.

Eddie

Operations Manager

I joined GN Wellsprings with a background in Accounting and Business Management and began as a support worker. Since then, I have developed my skills in care, completed a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Adult Care, and progressed into a management role.

In my role, I support clients and colleagues while guiding teams to deliver the highest standards of care. Combining financial expertise with a genuine passion for people, I ensure our services are both efficient and compassionate.

I lead with empathy and professionalism, always striving to make a real difference in people’s lives. I’m proud to work alongside such a dedicated and caring team at GN Wellsprings.

Outside work, I enjoy football, family time and music, which help me relax and recharge.

Ollie Wanjohi

HR & Compliance Manager

After qualifying in Law, I chose to pursue a career focused on supporting people beyond the traditional legal route. I began at GN as a recruitment consultant and later expanded into HR and compliance. My role is to safeguard clients by ensuring that we recruit individuals who not only possess the right skills but also embody our core values. I also oversee staff support through structured induction, ongoing training, and regular supervision—recognising that our people are our most asset in delivering safe, high-quality care.

Outside of work, I serve as President of Northampton Speakers, where I help individuals build confidence and communication skills. I also write Wanjohi’s Weekly Digest, a newsletter on self-mastery, personal development, health, and lessons from inspiring leaders. Additionally, I co-lead the Young People Empowered Club, supporting Kenyan-British youth in Northampton as part of my commitment to community development.
